NANCY REILLY OF GEBROE-HAMMER ASSOCIATES NAMED AMONG NEW JERSEY’S TOP WOMEN IN COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE
Award Acknowledges Professional and Personal Achievements

LIVINGSTON, N.J., December 3, 2008 – Nancy Reilly, senior vice president of Gebroe-Hammer Associates, the region’s leading multi-family investment brokerage firm, has been named among New Jersey’s most influential women in commercial real estate by Real Estate New Jersey. The honor recognizes the state’s outstanding women who exemplify excellence in their field.

Reilly, a resident of Leonia, N.J., oversees Gebroe-Hammer’s overall administrative operations and serves as a liaison to more than 24 brokers as well as external consultants. As a member of the senior management team, she is involved with the daily business operations of the firm’s executive office.

“In addition to possessing extensive multi-family investment industry expertise, Nancy Reilly has earned the respect of male and female counterparts alike by building and maintaining key relationships with fellow employees, brokers, clients and peers,” said Ken Uranowitz, managing director. “Nancy is a strong professional role model dedicated to promoting personal and professional growth, especially among women.”

Reilly launched her career while still in high school, employed part-time at a firm where she worked with Mel Gebroe. In 1975, she joined Gebroe at his new investment brokerage venture, Gebroe-Hammer Associates, which was co-founded with the late Morris Hammer. Rising through the ranks during the past 33 years, Reilly has expanded her industry knowledge, earned her New Jersey Real Estate license and certification as a paralegal while contributing toward the firm’s emergence as one of the region’s leading investment brokerage firms.

Gebroe-Hammer Associates specializes in the sale of multi-family, retail and commercial properties throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York as well as along the East Coast. Clients include private owners, REITS, private equity firms and other institutional investors. Since joining the firm as the only woman, Reilly has made tremendous strides in equalizing Gebroe-Hammer’s gender balance by hiring and supervising long-term female employees who are instrumental to the firm’s continued growth.

“Commercial real estate and multi-family housing are far more diverse industries than they were more than three decades ago,” noted Reilly. “I am proud of the many new opportunities women have today.”

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Reilly is active in a wide range of civic organizations. This involvement includes serving as treasurer at All Saints Church in Leonia and as a past member of the vestry. She also is treasurer for the Leonia High School Music Boosters and a member of the fund-raising committee for the Leonia Home and School Association. In addition, she has served as the treasurer of the American Youth Soccer Organization Region 1089 and volunteered countless hours on behalf of Girl Scout Troop 1164.
